SDOUKOS S.A. is a dynamically growing Greek company active in the import, processing and packaging of nuts, dried and semi-dried fruits, as well as modern snacking products, including protein bars, granola, oats, spreads and other functional foods.

The company was founded in 1978, with the establishment of its first automated production unit in Ioannina. In 1996, production was relocated to new facilities in Neochoropoulo, Ioannina, and in 2000, following continuous growth, the company moved to its current facilities in the Industrial Area of Ioannina. Today, its production facilities are fully equipped with advanced, state-of-the-art automated technology, ensuring high levels of productivity, consistency and quality.

SDOUKOS S.A. strictly applies internationally recognized quality and food safety management systems, including ISO 22000:2005, IFS Food (version 8.1), HALAL, Rainforest Alliance (RA) and RSPO, while fully implementing the principles and procedures of the HACCP system, ensuring quality, traceability and food safety throughout all stages of the production process.

Our company has implemented and effectively operates comprehensive Quality Assurance systems. SDOUKOS S.A. is certified under the most advanced and rigorous Food Safety standards, including IFS Food Standard Version 8.1, ISO 22000:2018, as well as HALAL and RSPO, while also applying a certified Rainforest Alliance (RA) management system, addressing corporate sustainability, environmental responsibility, labor standards, employee health and safety, and business ethics.

Quality Control is a cornerstone of SDOUKOS S.A.'s quality management, covering every stage from the receipt of raw materials to the delivery of final products to our customers.

The company operates a state-of-the-art laboratory with advanced equipment, where specialized personnel perform daily inspections on incoming raw materials and finished products. These inspections include:

 - Physical characteristics (size, appearance, integrity, etc.)

 - Chemical characteristics (moisture, aflatoxins, oil quality, etc.)

 - Microbiological characteristics (yeasts, molds, etc.)

 - Organoleptic characteristics (color, taste, aroma)

All raw materials and products require careful handling to maintain quality and flavor. Initially, raw materials are stored under controlled temperature and humidity conditions to preserve their natural state until processing. They then undergo cleaning and processing procedures, and final products are immediately packaged in a protective atmosphere, inspected with metal detectors, and stored under controlled conditions.

Using modern equipment and an ERP system, each production is treated as an individual batch, with full traceability of raw materials and production parameters (processing time and temperature, product moisture, etc.), in compliance with customer requirements and EU traceability regulations.

 - Assigns overall responsibility for the operation, compliance, and continuous improvement of the FSMS to the Food Safety Team, providing the necessary resources and support.
